Prototype Information

The V class locomotives were constructed between 1902 and 1903
at the Phoenix Foundry in Ballarat, with the pattern loco being
built in 1899 by the Baldwin locomotive works in Philadelphia in
the USA.
They were built as Vauclain compound locomotives and were the
heaviest locomotives in the Victorian Railways when they entered
service. Between 1912 and 1913 were rebuilt as Simple Expansion
locomotives.
Untill 1923 the locomotives were numbered between 499-529
using odd numbers only. All locos were out of service by January
1930, with pattern loco 499 (later 215) being the last to go.

Model Information

This model represents the Phoenix Foundry built Vauclain
Compount V class locos as they might have been prior to 1912.
They wear the VR all over black livery, although I don't know if
the compound locos ever wore this livery.
Also included is a fictional 'generic' US style 2-8-0 loco to represent
one of the many shunters/switchers or industrial locomotives
that might have been seen around the US around 1900-1920.
The following features are planned to be included in the loco:

*Operating marker lights
*Twinkles smoke effects (By LieLestoSbrat)
*Animated water load and water filler lid
*User selectable weathering
